Spawn is plain grassland, but a mangrove swamp begins only about 64 blocks out, with savanna just as close, so wood, mud and a first shelter are easy. Head southeast to the village at roughly (216, 152), about 264 blocks away, and you will find savanna ground and a river edge around it. Once you are kitted out, the desert pyramid near (-168, 296) is the one trip worth the walk.
