Spawn is plain forest, so gather wood and head east. The village at (248, 72) is about 258 blocks away and sits with river water beside it, so you can fish and find crops quickly. On the way, jungle begins about 64 blocks out and plains about 91. A ruined portal at (72, 200) lies about 213 blocks south, worth a detour for loot. The stronghold is about 1384 blocks away, so plan that trip later.
